wake-up light
Gradual sunrise lamp
A wake-up light is an alarm clock that simulates sunrise by gradually increasing light intensity before the set alarm time.
The idea is to ease the transition from sleep to waking, particularly in dark winter months: I got a wake-up light to help with seasonal depression.
Most models also include sound alarms and sunset simulation for falling asleep.
