waffler
Can't choose type
A waffler is someone who wavers or vacillates, unable to commit to a position or decision.
The word carries mild contempt—wafflers are seen as weak or evasive: He's such a waffler—just pick a restaurant already.
Politicians accused of waffling are criticized for changing positions to suit the moment rather than holding firm convictions.
