visual spectrum
Visible light bandwidth
The visual spectrum is the portion of the electromagnetic spectrum that human eyes can detect—wavelengths roughly between 380 and 700 nanometers, perceived as colors from violet through red.
Also called the visible spectrum.
Beyond it lie ultraviolet and infrared, invisible to us but detectable by some animals and instruments.
