virtual card
Online-only credit line
A virtual card is a digital payment card that exists only as a number, expiration date, and security code—no physical plastic.
Banks and apps generate them for online purchases, often with spending limits or single-use functionality for added security: I created a virtual card for the subscription so I could cancel it easily.
Some services let you generate multiple virtual cards linked to one account.
