unillustrated
Lacking visual additions
Unillustrated describes a book, document, or other publication that contains no pictures, diagrams, or other visual images.
An unillustrated edition of a novel contains only text, while an illustrated one might include drawings or photographs.
The term most often appears in bibliographic descriptions or when distinguishing between different editions of the same work: The unillustrated paperback was half the price of the illustrated hardcover.
