unicornfish
Reef fish, protrusion
Unicornfish are tropical marine fish named for the horn-like projection extending from the forehead of most species.
Found in Indo-Pacific coral reefs, they belong to the surgeonfish family and can grow quite large.
The horn varies by species—some prominent, others barely visible: We spotted a bluespine unicornfish while snorkeling.
