uncoil
Straighten from spiral form
To uncoil is to straighten out from a coiled position—releasing what was wound or spiraled: The snake uncoiled and slithered away, She uncoiled the garden hose.
The word works both transitively (you uncoil a rope) and intransitively (a spring uncoils).
Figuratively, someone might uncoil from a tense, curled posture as they relax.
