unanimated
Lacking vital spark
Unanimated means not animated—lacking life, motion, or spirit.
The word describes things that haven't been given movement or vitality: The unanimated figures sat motionless on the shelf.
In film and design contexts, it refers specifically to content that lacks animation: The unanimated version of the logo looked flat.
Less common than *inanimate* for describing lifeless objects.
