twin language
Shared secret speech
Twin language is a form of communication developed between twins, especially young children, that may be unintelligible to others.
These private languages—also called cryptophasia or idioglossia—often emerge when twins spend extensive time together and can include invented words, unusual pronunciations, or grammatical patterns unique to the pair.
Most twin languages fade as children develop standard speech: The twins had their own language until they started school.
