turn or burn
Repent or perish
Turn or burn is a phrase with two distinct uses.
In evangelical Christianity, it's a stark warning: repent (turn from sin) or face hellfire.
In aviation and military contexts, it describes a quick maneuver—turn sharply or get shot down: It was turn or burn when the missile locked on.
Both senses convey urgent, binary choices with severe consequences.
