tree rose
Lollipop-shaped plant
A tree rose is a rose plant trained or grafted to grow on a single tall stem, creating a lollipop-like form with foliage and blooms atop a bare trunk.
The effect mimics a miniature tree rather than the typical bushy growth of roses.
Tree roses are popular in formal gardens and container plantings: She flanked the entrance with matching tree roses.
