tower clock
Elevated public timekeeper
A tower clock is a large clock mounted on or built into a tower, designed to be visible from a distance and often serving as a public timekeeper for a town or institution.
Big Ben's clock face is the most famous example.
Tower clocks typically feature prominent dials on one or more sides of the tower, and many include bells or chimes to mark the hours.
