tire plug
Roadside leak stopper
A tire plug is a small piece of rubber or cord inserted into a punctured tire to seal the hole.
The plug expands to fill the wound and bonds with the rubber, allowing continued use without replacing the tire.
Plugs work best for tread punctures from nails or screws: I keep a tire plug kit in my trunk for emergencies.
