tiddly

A bit sozzled

Tiddly has two distinct meanings in British English.

It can mean slightly drunk—pleasantly tipsy rather than falling-down intoxicated: We got a bit tiddly on champagne.

Separately, tiddly means very small or insignificant: a tiddly portion, some tiddly little village.

Both uses are informal and characteristically British.
