A throw-in is the method of restarting play in soccer when the ball crosses the sideline.
A player from the team that didn't touch it last throws the ball back onto the field using both hands in an overhead motion while keeping both feet on the ground.
The plural throw-ins can also refer to items added to a deal as minor extras or sweeteners: The car dealer included floor mats and a tank of gas as throw-ins.
