threadlocker
Fastener securing compound
Threadlocker is a liquid adhesive applied to threaded fasteners—bolts, screws, nuts—to prevent them from loosening due to vibration or torque.
It cures in the absence of air, bonding metal surfaces together.
Different strengths exist: blue threadlocker allows future removal with hand tools, while red requires heat to break the bond.
Apply a drop of threadlocker before installing the bolt.
