think little of

Hold in contempt

To think little of something is to regard it as unimportant or unimpressive: She thinks little of driving three hours each way for a concert.

The phrase can also mean to have a low opinion of someone or something: He thinks little of people who complain.

The opposite phrase, think much of, appears almost exclusively in negation: I don't think much of his chances.
