temporary design
Short-lived layout
A temporary design is a design intended to last only for a limited time or serve as a placeholder.
In web development and graphic design, temporary designs often function as prototypes or stand-ins while permanent solutions are developed: We're using a temporary design until the new branding is finalized.
The term also applies to physical installations meant to be dismantled: The temporary design for the festival stage came down Monday.
