teachers union
Instructors' labor organization
A teachers union is an organization that represents educators in collective bargaining with school districts over wages, benefits, and working conditions.
Teachers unions also advocate for education policy and often wield significant political influence: The teachers union endorsed the school board candidate.
In the U.S., the two largest are the National Education Association and the American Federation of Teachers.
