target shooters
Precision aim hobbyists
Target shooters are people who practice shooting firearms or other projectile weapons at targets, whether for sport, competition, or skill development.
The term distinguishes recreational and competitive shooters from hunters or those who use weapons professionally: Target shooters dominated the gun range on Saturday mornings.
Target shooting encompasses various disciplines from Olympic rifle events to casual plinking.
