takes for granted

Expects without questioning

Takes for granted means to accept something as true or certain without questioning it, or to fail to appreciate something because you've grown accustomed to having it.

We take for granted that the sun will rise tomorrow.

The second sense carries a note of ingratitude—when you take someone for granted, you undervalue them because their presence or effort has become routine: She felt taken for granted after years of thankless work.
