Wind orchestra group
A symphonic band is a large ensemble of wind, brass, and percussion instruments—essentially an orchestra without the string section.
Also called a concert band or wind ensemble, it's the standard format for school and community bands: The symphonic band performed at graduation.
The repertoire ranges from transcriptions of orchestral works to music composed specifically for winds.
