Surrebuttal is a response to a rebuttal—a reply to a reply.
In formal debate and legal proceedings, it's the opportunity to answer arguments raised in the opposing side's rebuttal: The prosecution's surrebuttal addressed the alibi witnesses.
The term follows the pattern of rebuttal, adding the prefix sur- (over, beyond) to indicate another layer of response.
