sun printing
Shadow-based image making
Sun printing is a photographic technique that uses sunlight to create images on light-sensitive paper or fabric.
Objects or negatives are placed on the treated surface and exposed to UV light, leaving behind silhouettes or patterns where the objects blocked the light.
The process produces distinctive blue-toned prints called cyanotypes, though other chemistries yield different colors.
She made sun prints of leaves and flowers from her garden.
