stuff up
Make a mess
Stuff up is chiefly British and Australian slang for a blunder or mistake, and as a verb, to botch something: I really stuffed up that presentation.
A stuff-up is the resulting mess: The whole project was a complete stuff-up.
Less common in American English, where screw up or mess up serve the same function.
