street skaters
Pavement trick riders
Street skaters are skateboarders who ride in urban environments rather than skateparks or ramps, using stairs, handrails, ledges, and other architectural features as obstacles for tricks.
The style emphasizes creativity and adaptability to found terrain: Street skaters see the city as their playground.
The term distinguishes them from vert skaters, who focus on halfpipes and bowls.
