Pause the movement
Stop action is a filmmaking technique where objects are photographed one frame at a time, moved slightly between shots, then played back at normal speed to create the illusion of movement.
Also called stop-motion animation, it's used for everything from clay figures to puppets: The dinosaurs in the original King Kong were stop action.
