status bars
Visual completion trackers
Status bars are horizontal strips displayed at the edge of a screen or window, showing information about the current state of a program or system.
They typically display progress indicators, file sizes, page numbers, or connection status: The status bar showed the download was 80% complete.
In mobile interfaces, status bars show battery level, signal strength, and time.
