stair lifts
Seated rail climbers
Stair lifts are motorized chairs or platforms that travel along a rail mounted to a staircase, carrying people who have difficulty climbing stairs.
They're installed in homes to help elderly or disabled residents move between floors: After her hip surgery, we installed a stair lift.
Also called stairlifts or chair lifts.
