speed demons
Reckless road racers
Speed demons are people who drive or move recklessly fast, or who have an insatiable appetite for velocity.
The term applies to drivers who habitually exceed speed limits, motorcyclists who push their machines to extremes, or anyone who seems addicted to going fast: My brother's a total speed demon on the highway.
The phrase can be affectionate or critical depending on context.
