soul transfer
Spirit changes vessels
Soul transfer is the imagined movement of a soul, spirit, or consciousness from one body to another.
The concept appears in religious traditions (reincarnation, transmigration), fantasy and science fiction (body-swapping, possession), and speculative discussions about uploading minds to machines or clones: The villain's soul transfer into a younger body kept him immortal.
Also called soul migration.
