snow festivals

Snow festivals are organized public celebrations centered on winter weather, typically featuring elaborate ice sculptures, snow structures, and cold-weather activities.

These events range from local community gatherings to major international attractions like Japan's Sapporo Snow Festival or China's Harbin Ice Festival, drawing millions of visitors.

Activities commonly include sculpture competitions, illuminated ice displays, winter sports demonstrations, and seasonal food vendors.

We planned our trip around the snow festival in February.
