A snooze alarm is a feature on alarm clocks that temporarily silences the alarm and resets it to sound again after a short interval, typically nine minutes.
Hitting snooze buys a few more minutes of sleep—or restless half-sleep: I hit the snooze alarm three times before finally getting up.
The button itself is also called the snooze alarm or snooze button.
