snit fit
Childish anger display
A snit fit is a brief outburst of petty anger or irritation, typically over something minor.
The phrase combines snit (a state of agitation) with fit (a sudden episode), emphasizing the tantrum-like quality: She threw a snit fit when they ran out of her favorite coffee.
The term suggests the anger is disproportionate to the cause.
