slow motion filming
Temporal stretching technique
Slow motion filming is a cinematographic technique that captures footage at a higher frame rate than normal playback speed, so when projected at standard speed, the action appears slowed down.
The technique reveals details invisible at real-time speed—a balloon bursting, a hummingbird's wings, an athlete's form.
The slow motion filming of the crash test showed exactly how the airbag deployed.
