time-lapse photography
Slow-capture, fast-playback
Time-lapse photography is a technique that captures images at intervals slower than playback speed, so when viewed normally, time appears to move faster.
A flower blooming over days unfolds in seconds; clouds race across the sky.
The technique reveals processes too slow for the eye to perceive in real time: time-lapse footage of a construction project, time-lapse of the night sky.
