sleep-ins
Staying in bed
Sleep-ins are protests where demonstrators occupy a space overnight, refusing to leave—a form of civil disobedience modeled on sit-ins: Activists staged sleep-ins at the state capitol to protest budget cuts.
The term also refers to domestic workers who live in their employer's home rather than commuting: The family hired a sleep-in nanny.
