slabby
Like thick tiles
Slabby describes something resembling or having the quality of slabs—thick, flat, broad pieces.
In rock climbing, a slabby route features smooth, low-angle rock faces that require balance and friction rather than grip: The slabby section was harder than it looked.
The word applies to anything with that chunky, flat-surfaced character: slabby cuts of stone, slabby waves in surfing that break slowly without much steepness.
