skin flicks
X-rated movie productions
Skin flicks are pornographic or sexually explicit films, especially low-budget ones.
The term emerged in the 1960s when such movies began appearing in theaters: The old cinema downtown used to show skin flicks.
The phrase sounds dated now, largely replaced by more direct terms like porn.
