sketch show
Comedy vignette series
A sketch show is a television or stage program consisting of short, self-contained comedic scenes performed by a regular cast.
Unlike sitcoms, sketch shows have no continuing storyline—each sketch stands alone, often with recurring characters or formats: Saturday Night Live is America's longest-running sketch show.
The British tradition includes Monty Python and The Catherine Tate Show.
