sketch comedians
Short scene humorists
Sketch comedians are performers who specialize in sketch comedy—short, scripted scenes that typically last a few minutes and present a complete comedic situation.
Unlike stand-up comedians who perform alone with a microphone, sketch comedians usually work in ensembles, playing multiple characters across different scenes: She started as a sketch comedian on Saturday Night Live before moving to film.
