silverfin
Tiny freshwater fish
Silverfin refers to various small fish with silvery coloring, particularly certain species of minnow or shiner found in North American freshwater.
The name describes the metallic sheen visible on their fins and scales. *Silverfin* is also the title of a Young James Bond novel by Charlie Higson, the first in a series depicting the spy's teenage years.
