shell collector
Seashore souvenir hunter
A shell collector gathers seashells, typically as a hobby.
Collectors may comb beaches for specimens or acquire them through purchase and trade.
The pursuit ranges from casual beachcombing to serious conchology—the scientific study of mollusk shells.
She became an avid shell collector after retiring to Florida.
