sheerness
See-through fabric quality
Sheerness is the quality of being sheer—extremely thin and transparent, as in fabric: The sheerness of the curtains let too much light through.
It can also describe the quality of being absolute or pure: the sheerness of the cliff face, the sheerness of her determination. (Capitalized Sheerness is a town in England.)
