second movement
Symphony's middle part
The second movement is a distinct section of a larger musical composition, typically a symphony, sonata, or concerto.
Classical works traditionally have three or four movements, with the second usually slower and more lyrical than the energetic first movement: The second movement is an adagio in F major.
Each movement functions as a self-contained piece while contributing to the whole.
