scratch card
Coin-revealed prize game
A scratch card is a ticket with a concealed area that reveals whether you've won a prize when scratched off with a fingernail or coin.
Typically sold at convenience stores and lottery outlets, scratch cards offer instant results: I won twenty dollars on a scratch card.
Also called a scratcher or scratch-off.
