score range
High-low gap
A score range is the span between the lowest and highest possible values on a measurement scale, or the interval within which a particular result falls.
Standardized tests report score ranges to indicate performance bands: Her SAT score range placed her in the 90th percentile.
Score ranges also appear in credit reporting, video game rankings, and medical assessments to bracket outcomes rather than pin them to single numbers.
