sanitaria
Convalescent care facilities
Sanitaria is a plural of sanitarium, an institution for treating chronic illnesses or promoting health—particularly tuberculosis sanatoriums of the early twentieth century, or facilities for rest and recuperation.
The word is now dated, as most such institutions have closed or been renamed.
The alternative plural sanitariums is more common in contemporary use.
