rubber bumpers
Elastic collision cushions
Rubber bumpers are protective pads or strips made of rubber, attached to surfaces to absorb impact and prevent damage.
They appear on car bumpers, furniture feet, door stops, and equipment corners.
In pinball, the rubber bumpers bounce the ball around the playfield.
Any cushioning piece meant to soften collisions might be called a rubber bumper: Add rubber bumpers to the cabinet doors so they don't slam.
