round trip ticket
There-and-back pass
A round trip ticket covers travel to a destination and back again, as opposed to a one-way ticket.
The term applies to planes, trains, buses, and other transportation: I booked a round trip ticket to Chicago.
Round trip tickets often cost less than two separate one-way fares.
Also called a return ticket in British English.
